Havenly Spa & Resort
Havenly Spa & Resort is an oceanside sustainably-focused retreat. In partnership with Ippodo Tea, it is made in complete harmony with nature and nearby surroundings through minimizing construction, letting architecture frame nature, and maximizing connection with nature. Through open and airy space, the project offers an opportunity to unwind the body and refresh the soul, having a deep conversation with nature. Ultimately the guests will leave the resort with refreshing and energizing memories after experiencing the theme of ‘Return to Nature’.
Facade: Strips of wood from the surrounding landscapes cover the exterior of the hotel in a way that depicts nature. A wood fin gradation on the facade creates a subtle natural atmosphere.
Courtyard: Courtyard serves as a focal point of boosting indoor and outdoor connection.
Concierge: Upon arrival, guests can check in at the concierge. The double height space maximizes visual connection to the outdoor courtyard and enhance daylight access.
Lobby Lounge: Guests can hang out in the seating area after check-in. The double height window wall maximizes visual connection to the outdoor yard and enhance daylight access. Wooden frame light glows through the space in harmony with sunlight.

Tea Room: Semi-private tea room with materials such as wood, rattan, and stone creates a sense of intimacy. The tea room opens up to the yard view and helps guests unwind and refresh. The central pond promotes connection with nature and creates a relaxing atmosphere.
Restaurant: The restaurant has a magnificent ocean view of Malibu where guests can enjoy dinner and drinks. On the outdoor deck, guests can take a breather with the ocean view.
Infinity Pool: The Infinity Pool extends the magnificent ocean view of Malibu as if the pool is touching the ocean. The wooden solar shading in the sun bed area frames the sky and the ocean view.

Spa: In harmony with the surrounding nature, the place offers lasting relaxation in a spa environment where wood and stone determine the interior atmosphere. The spa is for wellness and self-discovery. Window framed views open out to the ocean.
Fitness Center: The Fitness Center enables physical activity throughout the day and provides access to dedicated physical activity spaces and equipment such as fitness cardiorespiratory and muscle-strength exercise equipment. Besides, it offers body self-check up equipment that guests can freely use without human contact. Mat floor and wood finishes are incorporated to absorb and minimize the noises. Operable windows promote natural ventilation.
Living Area: After deep conversations with nature, guests return to the guest room for relaxation. Large window frames capture the view of the ocean and maximize connection with it. Each guest room has its own spa that stimulates a tranquil experience.
